Posh+Lavish uses natural rubber among many other luxurious components for extraordinary comfort. Natural rubber is an uncommon component in premium mattresses and is more elastic, resilient and longer lasting than traditional polyurethane foam used in other luxury brands.
Posh+Lavish uses an abundance of wool within the mattress. Wool is a rarely used material in the premium mattress category and adds exquisite comfort to the mattress. It is also more elastic, resilient and longer lasting than traditional polyester fibers used by most premium brands.
Posh+Lavish uses two layers of cotton in the FR layers in the mattress. Cotton is a rarely used component in the premium mattress category and adds exceptional comfort to the mattress. It is also more elastic, and resilient than polyester or fiberglass FR solutions.
Our mattress covers feature Tencel™-faced fabric. Tencel is derived from wood pulp and uses nanotechnology that is moisture absorbent, incredibly supple, and exceptionally durable.
If you want more details and specifics about the individual components in our mattresses, toppers, pillows and foundations the following should help. We ship mattresses to retailers on either recycled oak or southern yellow pine wooden pallets. Our mattresses and toppers are compressed, rolled and hermetically sealed with multiple layers of plastic before being packaged in heavy duty corrugated cardboard boxes for shipping. Our foundations are made out of solid spruce wood with steel screws. Our Pocket Sprung collection has steel springs individually wrapped in duon. Our Natural Rubber+Memory Foam collection contains Memory Foam in addition to Natural Rubber. The glue that holds the layers together inside the bed is Simalfa water based adhesive. The zipper on the bottom of your mattress and topper is nylon. Our logo embroidery is polyester. Our Fire Retardant layer is exclusively wool and cotton with Kevlar thread used for stitching.
We are a luxury mattress brand who uses natural rubber, wool and cotton as primary components for longevity and supreme comfort. We are not an organic mattress brand. We are not a vegan mattress brand as our fire-retardant solution uses both wool and cotton. Our mattresses are designed primarily with natural rubber, wool, and cotton to feel amazing when you lay on them and last a long time. If you are looking for a luxury mattress that is made with materials unlike other luxury mattresses available, we think you will find our mattresses and topper pairings to be exquisite. Our mattresses would feel less luxurious if they were constructed with certified organic latex, did not contain an abundance of wool on all sides, and covered with woven fabric that did not contain elastin or polyester as our four way stretch, three layer, 602 gram weight cover does. We will make a custom cotton cover as an accessory for any mattress or topper if you would like a more traditional look and less adaptive feel. Our cotton cover has a slight amount of elastin so it stretches and feels magnificent.
Every one of our mattresses is built by hand in California and Texas by teams of skilled craftsmen.
